Lyle A. Waisman is a Chicago-based professional photojournalist who specializes in live music photography. He was introduced to photography at an early age, studying photography and shooting throughout high school (as a staff photographer for his yearbook) and college.
Although Lyle developed a love of photography early on, he experienced a renewed enthusiasm after being contracted to photograph a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young concert. His passion for photography finally found an appropriate outlet when combined with his love of music. Since then, concert photography has been his primary pursuit.
Lyle has found great enjoyment in the challenges of fast-paced shooting in unpredictable environments, and his work endeavors to reproduce the emotion and impact of a live performance. His passion for “capturing the moment” can be seen in the quality of his work. He has subsequently photographed almost 800 artists, and his work has appeared in a wide variety of print & online publications.
